Teaching Deferred..

Thank god I am able to defer my teaching contract for one year after my hons!! I guess everything kind of fall in place. I am able to secure a job at an Enrichment Center as a science teacher, however, I gave it up eventually so as to to violate the clause in the MOE contract due to the job's requirement to sign a half a year contract for the position of part-time tutor.

Hence, I am now hoping to find any tuition assignment near my area. :) If anyone of you have any students (Primary or Lower Secondary) to recommend, "Shout at me" via the "shout-out" box or sms me k!! :P

The arrival of the long awaited LETTER OF OFFER!

After 2 months plus of wait prior to the interview, I have received MOE offer letter to be a teacher!! I was really ecstatic upon receiving the letter, after all I waited so long for it.. haha But the think now is hope that I am able to actually defer it for a year after completing my Honors.

I am still surprised that I have been assigned to teach PE and Social Studies, despite several of my friends saying that I do look like a Discipline Master!! (aka most PE teachers seem to be DPM) Ha ha...Although I am still hoping to have the opportunity to teach English, but I guess PE is not too bad either yeah.. haha My only concern now besides deferment is the Physical Fitness test especially the Gymnastic component which all PE teachers need to clear before entry to NIE..

But I shall try my best and take this period of time to train hard for it!! Shall try my very very best to clear it!! :) Despite being cliche, I shall say that "My passion to be a teacher shall overcome everything!!" haha

Life Update

I have finally decided to do honors for the sake of what I want to achieve in life. My age was the major factor of my consideration in doing honors. I thank some of my dear gd friends to allow me to overcome my age as a psychological barrier putting me in a less rational position and just achieve what I want to achieve in life. However, there are a few skeptical people who think that I should just graduate and find a job although I sort of understand what they mean and really thank them for their opinions to make my decision making process a more balance one.

The main reason that I decided to do one more year is due to the things I can learn and the level 4 modules offered next semester are to my interest and I am pretty sure I will learn a whole lot more than just stopping here. Sociology has become a substantial part of my life and I love every bit of it. I should not have any regrets about the decision I have made, I shall try my best and maintain a second-lower!! hee..

Next in my life, I never expect to be so disappointed in a close friend due to her irresponsibility in handling and prioritizing issues in her life. I just hope that she will learn to be more responsible after this incident. I guess it is not easy to help a friend you care for because he/she needs to help him/herself before anyone can help them.
