New Begining! New Life!

I haven't been updating my blog for a while (Like for 2 months or so lah). Have been really busy with school and life. There are so many readings to finish and so many assignments to be handed in, kinda of stress and tiring at times. Didn't really expect (but should have expect) such heavy workloads for Hons year. But, guess everything is getting better, as I learn to grapple with what are the important things to do first, so as to prioritize stuff relating to school.

But life is not all gloomy, I see a beam of light shining down on me with respect to my love life. This girl whom I suppose to know for more than ten years came into my life recently and took up a very important role as my gf ever since. The ironic thing is despite knowing her for more than ten years, it was only recently I know more (and i mean really more) about her as we didn't even talk to her back then. I have been really happy since after being together with her just shy of 1 month into our relationship. I can say that she is not the usual girl who are extra sensitive and attentive, but just nice for both aspect. Furthermore, she can be really Bai Mu (Blur) at times but to me this is really cute. The reason I am so attracted to her is because she appear as being real and truthful in many instances. I love spending my time with her. Besides having this lovely girl in my life, she also brought in two of her best friends whom are friendly and nice.

Thanks for being part of my life my darling! You make my life complete. :)

Teaching Deferred..

Thank god I am able to defer my teaching contract for one year after my hons!! I guess everything kind of fall in place. I am able to secure a job at an Enrichment Center as a science teacher, however, I gave it up eventually so as to to violate the clause in the MOE contract due to the job's requirement to sign a half a year contract for the position of part-time tutor.

Hence, I am now hoping to find any tuition assignment near my area. :) If anyone of you have any students (Primary or Lower Secondary) to recommend, "Shout at me" via the "shout-out" box or sms me k!! :P

The arrival of the long awaited LETTER OF OFFER!

After 2 months plus of wait prior to the interview, I have received MOE offer letter to be a teacher!! I was really ecstatic upon receiving the letter, after all I waited so long for it.. haha But the think now is hope that I am able to actually defer it for a year after completing my Honors.

I am still surprised that I have been assigned to teach PE and Social Studies, despite several of my friends saying that I do look like a Discipline Master!! (aka most PE teachers seem to be DPM) Ha ha...Although I am still hoping to have the opportunity to teach English, but I guess PE is not too bad either yeah.. haha My only concern now besides deferment is the Physical Fitness test especially the Gymnastic component which all PE teachers need to clear before entry to NIE..

But I shall try my best and take this period of time to train hard for it!! Shall try my very very best to clear it!! :) Despite being cliche, I shall say that "My passion to be a teacher shall overcome everything!!" haha

Life Update

I have finally decided to do honors for the sake of what I want to achieve in life. My age was the major factor of my consideration in doing honors. I thank some of my dear gd friends to allow me to overcome my age as a psychological barrier putting me in a less rational position and just achieve what I want to achieve in life. However, there are a few skeptical people who think that I should just graduate and find a job although I sort of understand what they mean and really thank them for their opinions to make my decision making process a more balance one.

The main reason that I decided to do one more year is due to the things I can learn and the level 4 modules offered next semester are to my interest and I am pretty sure I will learn a whole lot more than just stopping here. Sociology has become a substantial part of my life and I love every bit of it. I should not have any regrets about the decision I have made, I shall try my best and maintain a second-lower!! hee..

Next in my life, I never expect to be so disappointed in a close friend due to her irresponsibility in handling and prioritizing issues in her life. I just hope that she will learn to be more responsible after this incident. I guess it is not easy to help a friend you care for because he/she needs to help him/herself before anyone can help them.

Had a bloody gd day (19/04/2009)

Had a really fruitful and enjoyable today!! My day starts off with a badminton session in school (NUS) with few my good friends from school. Next followed by a trip with one of my dear friend (WL) to queensway shopping centre to get a pair of running shoes.. After much bargaining and searching, finally got a pair Adidas shoe (Adizero Mana) in blue for $99 (Retail Price $142).. It look them bloody nice lor!! haha

After which met Jia Jia for dinner and movie (Angels and Demons) at Vivo City. It is a great movie.. I would recommend everyone to watch it!! My favorite quote from the movie is "Religions are Flawed because human themselves are Flawed.." :)

Reviewing my 3 years in Uni...

I have just completed exams yesterday, which may be my last in NUS if I decide not to continue on with my Honors. My three-years in Uni seem to just flash passed without having a chance to review any of it. To me, these three years had bought about a whole mixed of feelings, you can say that it kinda of like the taste of "Rojak" (the type with the dark sauce) where I experienced the taste of spiciness, sweetness, sourness as well as bitterness. But despite the negative aspect to that, I would not give anything to exchange for the three years of life I experienced.

First, I would like to say that my English language has improve tremendously within this short span of three years. From flunking my QET to doing 5000-8000 words Sociology papers without any assistance at all. I would not say that my English is at its optimal level as yet, but I guess I am better. To me, every stage of our life brings something different. Hence, for me, I will try to catch those significant lessons it bring about so as to make me a better person both in and out aka tangible and intangible lessons. Hence to me, the improvement in my English seem more like one of the tangible benefit manifested in those three years.

Second, as for intangible benefits, I guess I have learned that things do not go always the way we wanted them to go. For example, a long standing relationship end up with an ending I never expected. This experience enabled me to accept things as never being in their status quo. I believe only individuals who choose to think that life revolve around them will accept it as being in status quo. But in actual fact, individuals revolve around life which mean that people and things around us is constantly changing. I am glad that I accepted the latte rather than the former after that grueling experience from my love life. But I actually glad that it happened which made me realise that life is more than just LOVE. Of course, I am keeping a look out for the potential girl that I will have sparks with, but at the meantime I should really just concentrate with my job hunt. :P

Third, besides all that, I had also gained three very good friends whom I can entrust my life with (or can I?) haha... :P I mean three of them has been very dear friends to me, helping me go through the sad stages in my life. We also share loads of happy and fun times together. I am proud to have know the three of u!!! You know who you are yeah!!! At the same time, other friends from different modules as well as my CCA, just wanna let all of you know that YOU ALL MADE A DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE!!! I am so proud to have all of you as my friends!! Really hope that we will stay in contact k!! :)

Happy Graduation to those (maybe me) who are graduating this semester!! :) All the best in your job search everyone!!!
